Oh, I love it.....I would share with what my horoscope has said about me this last year, but I don't want to scar your innocence. What’s up with the big noses and huge eyeballs? Is there some hidden meaning with this drawing?

No, it was just a jokey celebration of my getting my first ever proper job.

Outstanding!!! (I hope?! ;D)
do tell...do tell.... :DDDDD

Proper job??? What is that? I thought any job that paid was a proper job. And, any job that you had to be at was a sucky job...LOL So what kind of job is our little lovely doing?

A proper job is one where you work for someone else doing a 9-5 normal day. You don't end up working extra long hours, being at everyones beck-n-call whilst earning diddly. That's the principle behind having a proper job. I am unclear on any of these aspects as I haven't actually had one before.
Your 'little lovely' has been accepted as an 'Academic Support Worker and Notetaker' at the local University of Hertfordshire. This will be assisting Disabled and Dyslexic students with their studies.

That sounds like a cool job. Do you like it? Do you have to write backwards so the students can read it?

I haven't started the job yet as waiting on the Uni and you know what they can be like admin wise. I just have to make it legible and relevant.

hmm, legible and relevant...well, with artistic license, this might proove interesting!!! :)))

I start notetaking tomorrow with my first student who is studying Biological Science in order to become a paramedic. He seems like a really nice lad.
I also have another student to meet for more general support.

just think how much you're going to learn in the process of all of this!!!!

So, how was the first day at a real job?

It was good, thank you TB. I have also filled the rest of the week with the other student who is doing Product Design, which is a bit more my thing. This means I will now be working one full day and four half days and the pay's pretty good too. Glad to hear you're doing well TB, you had us worried there for a bit.
Mel, it was very difficult having to stop myself from joining in answering the questions asked in Bio-Science as it's all fairly basic stuff at the moment. :DD But I took 10 pages of notes and then had to transcribe them too. So it's definitely interesting stuff.

Peajay,
Ha! it's funny wanting to chime in, and I so understand with my kids and wanting just to give them the answer instead of letting them work it out!!
I'm glad the pay is good, and it seems you won't be getting bored anytime soon!! :)))
ps. pass on any fun stories or occurrences, please!! :)))
