Remembrance

We Shall Keep the Faith

Oh! you who sleep in Flanders Fields,
Sleep sweet - to rise anew!
We caught the torch you threw
And holding high, we keep the Faith
With All who died.

We cherish, too, the poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led;
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies,
But lends a lustre to the red
Of the flower that blooms above the dead
In Flanders Fields.

And now the Torch and Poppy Red
We wear in honor of our dead.
Fear not that ye have died for naught;
We'll teach the lesson that ye wrought
In Flanders Fields.

Glad to have you drop past and sign up to my blog Peajay - thank you so much. I shall now find time to have a good look through your blog - at first glance I see you have a sense of humour - welcome - you're most welcome to my world. xx

Thank you Mrs Successful, I found your blog some time ago through my Cousin His Girl Friday. I like your humour too and the way you write.
Thank you Storyteller, hope you are well. I haven't had much time to visit as have started back at the Summer building site job having quit the University one. It's a long day from 7 til 7 and blogging takes a bit of a backseat.

This is probably the wrong place to leave a note to you, but I'm hoping you won't mind. I've enjoyed looking through your blog and am now a follower of yours - any relation of HGF's is a friend of mine (hahaha). Thank you for the compliments! xx
